The PGHS Boys Tennis team came out on top in their recent match against Monterey, winning 5-2. It was a great overall team effort, but a couple of players really stood out. Daren Light (10) and Conor O’Brien (11), both put in some solid performances. Daren Light had an impressive showing, really showcasing his skills throughout the match. His consistency, whether serving or hitting ground strokes, seemed to give him the edge over his opponent. It wasn’t just about power either; Daren stayed calm and made smart decisions during tough moments, helping the team secure one of their wins. Conor O’Brien also had a fantastic performance. He seemed to thrive in the longer rallies, using his strong backhand and forehand to really control the pace. Even when things got intense, Conor kept his composure, playing smart and steady to grab a key win for PGHS. While Daren and Conor definitely stole the spotlight, the entire team played their part in the 5-2 victory. It wasn’t just about the singles matches—doubles teams also stepped up and grabbed important points. With strong individual performances and solid teamwork, PGHS is looking good as they move through the season.
