The holidays are right around the corner, and what other way to celebrate than to dress up for spirit week? There were many fun spirit days this past spirit week including Holiday Pajama Day, where Santa hat-wearing characters adorned Breaker sleepwear. Ugly Sweater Day, where students got to show off all of their Grandmas’ hard work. Ski Attire Day bought poles, goggles, and beanies into the spotlight. Candy Cane Day saw the underclassmen in their best white attire and upperclassmen donning red. Friday was Holiday Headwear Day, and everyone had festive options to decorate their heads. These spirit dress-up days brought holiday wear out of the closet for many, turning students into skiers, ugly sweater mannequins, and much more. Truly an exciting week filled with Breaker spirit in preparation for the holidays!
Spirit week also came with some festive lunchtime activities for class competitions. In Pride Place, Breakers made holiday cookies, drank eggnog, made frozen yogurt, built snowmen, and created some holiday art. There will be plenty more spirit weeks to look forward to once the break is over, and I hope to see everyone participating in these contests and activities. Overall, the week brought some holiday cheer to the school as Breakers prepare for finals and a much-needed break.
