The NewsBreaker asked PGHS seniors what their advice for underclassmen would be. When asked this question, many seniors thought about what they wished they knew as underclassmen. Things like facts or mottos that got them through the day, or events that felt like they were a must for a great high school experience. Some seniors would give funny advice like, “Don’t run to the lunch line”, “Don’t walk down the grass hill after it rains”, or “Walk fast in the hallways” that only PGHS students would understand. Others gave advice like, “Dress up for spirit days”, “Go to the football games”, or “Go to hall decorations” which displays a few things that seniors think are unforgettable events that all students should attend. Seniors also shared some advice that got them through high school like “Don’t give up. Every year counts”, “If you need help ask for it” and “Don’t stress about the little things”. We hope when underclassmen read these that they take our advice, learn from our mistakes, and ultimately have a great high school experience overall. Four years seems like forever, but we can tell you and many others who have graduated before us that this time goes by fast and we should cherish every moment. Going to school dances or sporting events, joining clubs, working hard in school, and surrounding yourself with a great group of friends are just a few pieces of advice that we give to you.
