The TASK Club is all about making a positive difference in our school and community through acts of kindness and teamwork. If you’re looking a way to develop leadership skills, complete community service hours, have fun, and make a positive impact, this club is for you!
What We Do:
-
Garden Work Day Garden Work Days: One of our main activities is maintaining the school garden, where we plant flowers and create a peaceful green space for everyone to enjoy. Recently, students painted the gate to make it more inviting. Currently, they are working on fixing the gates to protect our plants from deer.
- Community Kindness Initiatives: Members of the club are dedicated to spreading kindness throughout our community. One of the recent projects was organizing a Christmas stocking drive, where students donated 50 stockings to a youth homeless shelter in Monterey County and to students in need at our schools. It was a heartwarming experience that brought joy to many during the holiday season.
- Water Project: A hands-on learning experience where students walked a Breaker mile and carried water to understand the importance of clean water and its accessibility on our planet. Initiated by our school’s water tank, this project highlighted global water challenges.
