October 4th marked the first ever Pacific Grove High hosted water polo tournament! The boys team has had an impressive season going 12-3 overall and 5-1 in league play so far. Including beating Carmel, Salinas and Leemore. The boys team hosted 16 teams across the PG and Stevenson school pools. The Breakers played hard starting the tournament with an impressive 14-9 win over Santa Ynez High but ending with a 14-9 loss to Northgate the first day. Since the tournament started at 1 that Friday, many students stopped by throughout the day to support the waterpolo team, including a couple P.E classes. On Saturday they lost their first game to Soquel but won their last game over Ponderosa. With this only being the sixth season of having a water polo team at school, the tournament was a huge success. However their season is not over yet, the Breakers have 3 more games, and their senior night is the 21st against Gilroy. Make sure to stop by their next games and support the team!
